Fellows Riverside Gardens

Fellows Riverside Gardens in Youngstown, Ohio is part of the sprawling Mill Creek Park. Elizabeth Fellows donated the land and money for a free public garden which was first planted in 1963. I stopped by the other day (after four hours in the car 😩) and enjoyed the beauty and tranquility of a garden in spring.

Lanterman’s Falls

I made a side trip to Mill Creek Park yesterday and visited the beautiful Lanterman’s Falls. The park is Youngstown’s treasure, and the falls and mill must be the highlight of the park.

The mill was built in 1845 and restored in 1985. It is still used to grind corn and buckwheat.
