Ohioana Recap

The Ohioana Book Festival was a wonderful experience. It rained like crazy but we were all warm and dry inside, in a big room filled with Ohio writers and readers. The occasional roll of thunder just added atmosphere.

I participated in a panel: From Another Realm: Paranormal, Science Fiction and Fantasy. On the panel with me were three other writers of speculative fiction: Terry Ervin II, Terri-Lynne Smiles, and Tara Tyler. Each one of us had different thoughts about the craft of writing. Some of the panel attendees were working on their own stories, and had questions. So it was a good conversation about writing genre fiction, and could have continued much longer than our hour or so.

It felt strange to miss Marcon for the first time in several years, but I’ll be looking forward to attending there next year.

Below is a photo taken by a friendly photographer (my daughter) of me at my table, with my books.
